Co-Chair

Co-chairs serve a 3-year term and provide overall leadership for the SIG. They work closely with the Diversity Member-At-Large for Division 54, the Diversity Committee, SIG Secretary, and SIG Trainee Members-At-Large to communicate with, provide resources to, and develop initiatives with and for SIG membership related to the mission of the Diversity SIG.

Anjana Jagpal, PhD

(she/her/hers)

Dr. Jagpal is a pediatric psychologist and serves as primary inpatient consultation-liaison attending working in the PICU, burn unit, step-down, and general pediatrics unit at Weill Cornell Medicine.  She also provides outpatient therapy across a number of medical subspecialties.  Her area of expertise lies in treating patients with chronic pain.  Dr. Jagpal is deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, actively engaging in various committees at both local and national levels. She has been involved in the development of diversity training curriculum, developing practices for creating inclusive and equitable interview processes, and developing strategies to diversify the pipeline of pediatric psychology.  Her dedication extends to educating medical and psychology trainees, instilling values of inclusivity and cultural humility in future practitioners. She is committed to advocating for health equity, striving to enhance access to care for all individuals.
